Twenty years ago, my late husband Jeff and I founded Rising Above, inspired by the life of our son, Jon Alex, and the beautiful, sometimes challenging journey we’ve walked with him. From day one, our mission has been clear:
To bring hope, encouragement, and practical support to families navigating life with special needs—families just like ours. And today, two decades later, that mission is as strong and alive as ever.

We're Celebrating 20 Years of Ministry—and We Want You to Be Part of It!

To mark this incredible milestone, we're launching a crowd-driven fundraiser like no other. It’s simple, powerful, and built around our amazing Rising Above community:

20 Days. 20 People. 20 Dollars.
For the first 20 days of October, we’re asking YOU to invite 20 friends to give just $20 each. That’s it. A small ask that, when multiplied across our community, can make a huge difference in the lives of special needs families.
